After a four-week break, F1 was back and arrived at Baku, renowned for its stunning cityscapes and the longest straight on the calendar.
The weekend was full of action as the first of six sprint weekends kicked off with Oscar claiming P10 in Friday’s qualifying, showing positive progress for the team.
He continued to put in solid performances on track across the sprint event and Grand Prix but progress was hard to come by for the majority of the field during Sunday’s race and the Australian crossed the line just outside the points.
A shame to go away empty-handed but a fantastic effort from Oscar given that he had been suffering from illness the whole weekend. He heads to the next race in Miami with more experience gained, a first sprint weekend in the bank and a few days of recovery to hopefully feel better.
Here are a few shots of OP’s Azerbaijan GP weekend, including a few of him racing past the historical fortress walls.
