“Unfortunately, it didn’t go as we were hoping for. Having to box for a new front wing so early made it a difficult race and drastically changed the course of the evening for me.
From then on, it was all about tyre management as I completed near enough the whole race on the same set of hard tyres. Overall, I thought the pace was good and it was nice to get a couple of good overtakes at the end of the race.
Qualifying was the big positive from the weekend and something that was very encouraging. I was happy to get into Q3 and start from 8th.
We will keep working hard ahead of Melbourne which I am really looking forward to.”
