The race through OP’s visor

“It was such a shame to have to retire the car on Lap 15 with an electrical issue, especially on debut, but that’s the way things go sometimes.

Up until that point, I was feeling reasonable and had laid good foundations for a solid race, getting more and more comfortable with the car.

The competitive juices were flowing, and I loved being back in that environment again. That is a feeling that I sorely missed in 2022 and it didn’t take long to come back.

There is a lot I can take away from the weekend and all the experiences around this first grand prix will stand me in good stead moving forwards.

I’m already looking forward to the next race in a few weeks’ time. The hard work continues.”
